This day trip will depart Bronxville at 9:30am and return at 6:15pm, via a luxury coach bus. The bus will depart from a Sarah Lawrence parking lot behind the Barbara Walters Center. Free parking will be available at Sarah Lawrence.
At 11am, the group starts at the Yale University Art Gallery (YUAG). Participants divide into groups of 15 or less and enjoy tours, led by graduate art history students. Participants will also be given time to roam the YUAG. See https://artgallery.yale.edu/ for more information.
At 1pm, the group walks two short blocks to the Union League Café, a French-inspired brasserie housed in the historic Sherman Building for a three-course lunch. See https://unionleaguecafe.com/ for more information.
At 2:45pm, the tour continues at the Yale Center for British Art (CBA), the largest and most significant collection of British Art outside the UK. Veteran docents guide the group, highlighting the permanent collection and two special exhibits. Participants will have ample time to visit the galleries after the private tour. At 5pm, the bus departs New Haven and is expected to return to Bronxville by 6:15pm.
